Everything was wrong, and she had no way of putting things right - that gave her a sense of complete powerlessness. (Veronika Decides to Die)

paying for quality service

i went to dfa this afternoon to apply for a passport.  i have been planning to get a passport for the longest time but i keep on putting it off due to katamaran.  since i might go to singapore in may and the plane ticket needs to be booked right away, i had no choice but to go to dfa.

i arrived at the dfa office at around 12 pm and i was through by 1pm.  i think that's really fast for a government transaction.  i commend the dfa for offering a courtesy lane for government employees like me. :D and they also do not have the 12-1pm lunch break which in other government offices extends until 2pm.  however, i do not agree with the extra charge of P250 so you can get your passport two days later.  why are they charging their clients for efficient service?  government offices should render efficient service without asking for an extra charge.
