Everything was wrong, and she had no way of putting things right - that gave her a sense of complete powerlessness. (Veronika Decides to Die)

i think i’m going crazy

Monday, November 26, 2007

something's wrong with my emotions and with my state of mind.  naloloka na ata ako. haha!  i have so many unmet expectations, disappointments, frustrations, negative realizations, yada, yada, yada.  i need happy pills.

happy pills :)

reminder from smorty

Sunday, November 25, 2007

still no new opportunities in smorty and blogsvertise.  that's what i call humihinang kabuhayan.  anyway, there's this announcement from smorty about google reducing the page ranks of payperpost members.  well, if your pagerank is reduced it won't really affect your readership but it will affect your offers.  either way, i'm not affected because i'm not a payperpost member. i'm just sharing the info. :)

san diego entertainment

if you're in san diego and you're looking for a place to have fun, you might want to check out sandiegoclubs.com.  this website offers whatever San Diego entertainment that you are looking for.  they have a complete list of the hottest clubs in san diego and all the necessary information that you need to know about these places.  so if you are a party girl or a party guy, take a peak at this website before you go on your next night out.  have fun.  if you are under 21 years old, i don't think you have a business visiting this website.

anyway, clubbing is one of those fun activities that i have yet to try.  i don't go clubbing because: one, i don't have a clubbing buddy and two, err, my house is so far from the bar places. haha!  i guess there's just no opportunity to go barhopping.  but if i can, i probably will.  my friend, son, and i decided that we should go barhopping to meet people.  the problem is, we need different kinds of bars.

help!

Thursday, November 22, 2007

i'm assigned to spearhead a brownbag session in January and i need an interesting topic and a capable (but affordable) resource person.  a brown bag session is sort of an informal learning session.  i'm thinking of online ways of making money or managing your personal finances but i don't have a capable (but affordable) resource person.

affordable means someone who's willing to do it pro bono if possible.  if not, then we can only offer P1,000.  the session is for an hour for a maximum of 20 people.

if you have suggestions for a possible topic and a capable and affordable resource person, please let me know.

his dark materials

ever since my friend made me read this article, i got curious about philip pullman's trilogy.  according to the article, pullman hates the chronicles of narnia that he wrote this trilogy to show the other side of the story.  i'm not sure if this is accurate but the trilogy will end with the death of God who will be killed by the main characters of the story.  the main characters are children by the way.

this author is described as the writer the atheist would have been praying for, if they prayed.  intriguing.

if you're also curious you might want to read the synopsis of the golden compass, the subtle knife, and the amber spyglass.

no value added

Tuesday, November 20, 2007

i think i have written a number of posts already about how much i dislike attending my 280.1 class.  i was planning not to attend class last night but i did and i sort of regret it.  i went out as empty as i went in.

on the other hand, i never regret attending opman.  i always feel that the time spent in that class is worthwhile.  even if attendance is not closely monitored i would still attend class.  i always learn something about real life scenarios not just problematic nineteen-kopong kopong cases na napakahirap i-solve!

grace, the grinch

Monday, November 19, 2007

the christmas breeze depresses me.  yeah, i'm sort of a grinch.  i don't hate christmas but i don't like it either.

this is how i view it: christmas highlights our joys.  it makes us appreciate and feel thankful for what we have.  but just like everything in this world, it is two-faced.  christmas also heightens our sorrows.  it reminds us of what we've lost and what we lack.

rank my tattoos

Sunday, November 18, 2007

tribal tattoos are probably the most common tattoo design.  but of course, if you're pimping your skin why be ordinary?  there are cutomized designs to express your individuality and angst.

if you are planning to get a tat or if you're an artist, update yourself with the latest tattoo designs.  visit the tattoo art section of rankmytattoos.com.  they actually update their website regularly so you're sure to find new stuff everytime.

however, if you are planning to have your tattoo removed, visit their laser tattoo removal section to get the most popular methods and practitioners who can help you remove that unwanted ink.  i wonder which is more painful - getting a tattoo or having it removed.  yikes!

i like tattoos that make one look sexy rather than dirty and punk-like.  i guess it all depends on the design and the location of the tattoo.  i'm sure that i won't get a tattoo in this lifetime so i have to find other ways to look sexy.  hehe! :D

new york city facelifts

when i hear new york city, i always imagine a very fast-paced lifestyle.  people working as hard as they can all day and partying as much all night.  stress and nonstop partying can take a toll on the skin sooner or later. wrinkles and signs of old age will become apparent when you least expect it.

i guess for people in New York City face lifts can be an option to bring back their youthful glow once their skin starts to sag.  whether you're from new york or from any other city, maintaining a glowing skin should definitely be your business.  there are a number of anti-aging creams available in the market but we are against gravity here.  are you willing to repair through surgical procedures what gravity has damaged?

looking old and feeling old is definitely dreadful.  i just hope that when i become an old hag, i'd be so satisfied and secured that i wouldn't worry about how i look.

plastic surgeon in naples

if you need a plastic surgeon in Naples, then dr. patrick m. flaharty might be the one you are looking for.

dr. flaharty is an opthalmologist who specializes in facial cosmetic surgery.  he has been practicing facial cosmetic surgery for more than 14 years.  he has also performed about 20,000 facial plastic surgeries.  if you have performed that much surgeries then you're probably very skilled.  otherwise, you'd be facing lawsuits here and there.

dr. flaharty specializes in eyelid surgery, advanced skin care, small incision brow and face lift, rhinoplasty, laser skin rejuvenation, non-surgical facial rejuvenation, and botox cosmetic.

anyhoo, i just saw arnel ignacio and a certain sexy comedienne (i forgot her name) on a jessica soho talk show.  they were being interviewed about the surgeries that they have undergone.  arnel ignacio did liposuction and eye bag removal (blepharoplasty).  the comedienne had breast implants and nose surgery (rhinoplasty).  she's actually planning a lot of other surgeries.  in fairness, there's really a huge improvement from what she looked before and after the surgery.  she even added that the surgery boosted her confidence.  good for her. :)   i just hope she won't get addicted to plastic surgery.

EDIT: her name is kitkat
