choco kiss
Tuesday, February 5, 2008phoem and i have been spending a lot of time together lately. i really learn a lot from her insights. i don’t agree with her all the time but her opinions make my lazy neurons work. haha. anyway, saturday, we had lunch at choco kiss in bahay ng alumni. sunday, we went to these weird seminar, watched 27 dresses, and had dinner at fazoli’s in eastwood.
choco kiss
this is my favorite place in up. this is where my friends and i used to meet after office. i think this is a good date place especially if you’re on a budget. with just P250 you can have a sumptuous meal, excluding dessert. they have the best iced tea in my opinion which you can have bottomless for P58. i always order bagoong rice but i’ve heard that their chix in a basket is really delicious. their hickory smoked spareribs (P190) which is my current favorite is also highly recommended (by me). if you’re not a rice eater and would prefer mashed potatoes, just add P20.
choco kiss is at the 2nd floor of bahay ng alumni, up diliman. i think they also have a branch in morato.
weird seminar
the seminar on alchemy was kinda weird. i felt that it was a recruitment meeting of some kind of cult. they suggest certain yoga-like exercises that are supposed to help you absorb good energy.
towards the end of the seminar, we were asked to close our eyes and meditate. may parang chant pa nga, buti na lang nobody was serious enough to repeat the chant. since i have attention deficiency, i opened my eyes after a few minutes of pretending to concentrate. aba, aba, everybody in the room were in some sort of trance. scary!
27 dresses
it’s a feel good movie. nothing really extraordinary. it’s almost similar to never been kissed.
boy is cynical about marriage. girl is obsessed about marriage. then they fall in love and get married. ganun lang naman.
i like girly movies that are empowering like the devil wears prada. but this one is okay.
fazoli’s
they serve italian food real fast. i thought they are a filipino company pero american pala. they have huge servings so when i saw the pizza and pasta meal i ordered medyo nalula ako. it’s very affordable and they serve unlimited garlic breadsticks. i’m not really that crazy about garlic bread but fazoli’s breadsticks are really delicious.
i think this is also a good date place for fun couples who aren’t mushy. haha.
