Monday, November 5, 2007before i went to bed last saturday i suddenly thought that i was about to die. i don't know if it's just me being the emotional trainwreck that i am or all that smoke from a dozen winston lights that made my heart beat so fast, i thought i would never wake up.
i was asking myself whether i was ready to die at that moment. i guess i will never be ready. even if i knew the time of my death i can never prepare for it. it also made me think whether i would ask for help when i'm already choking to death or would i just endure the pain and let go of life instead. really morbid, i know. i was just so pissed that i really didn't care if i died or not. but i was scared. i was also worried about my family and how they would take it if i died.
anyway, i didn't die so all those crappy thoughts were just crappy.

i now have a pagerank of 2/10. i'm happy! :D i really don't know why i want to have a high pageranking but since everybody in the blogsphere seem to be aiming for a high pageranking, i'm thrilled even by a 2!

hemorrhoids

i never thought that i would be writing about hemorrhoids. but when i heard it from my aunt, i got curious about this disease. anyway hemorrhoids is a condition wherein the veins around the anus or the lower rectum are swollen and inflammed. there are instances when an internal hemorrhoid may actually protrude through the anus outside the body. i cannot imagine how painful that could be. yikes!

mini-reunion
Saturday, November 3, 2007had dinner with my high school friends. i haven't seen those guys in years! i'm happy that despite not seeing them for 7 years more or less, i still feel comfortable around them. i know that they have gone through so many changes in their lives but they seem to be the same people that i grew up with.
as usual, our friend shedelfapa (not her real name) was super duper late. as in 3 hours late!
i couldn't believe that i could inhale that much smoke in one night. son and i smoked a dozen sticks each! my heart was pounding so fast before i went to bed, i actually thought i was going to die but that's a different story.
i had a great time. i particularly enjoyed spending time with my will, who by the way has his own i.ph blog now. you may visit him at daniesongs.i.ph.
cubao expo
Friday, November 2, 2007finally, i was able to go to the cubao expo. it was the last saturday of the expo and i think the next one will be in december. i was ready to splurge but i only got a pair of earrings, necklace, vintage ring, and pouch. the stuff that i got are really cute but i was hoping to see more unique items. maybe i got there early so most of the sellers have not set up yet.
i think most if not all of those who participated in the cubao expo have their own websites in multiply. online selling seems to be a good business. you don't have to pay for rent and other overhead costs. to further boost their sales, online sellers should consider geting a shopping cart software. having an ecommerce software like those offered by ashop commerce can also be more convenient for online shoppers.
i haven't really bought anything online because i don't want to buy something that's good in picture but is disapponting once it is in your hands. but after seeing the stuff from the cubao expo, i've changed my mind about online shopping. the stuff that they have are really as good as they are in picture.
freedom of choice(?)
Wednesday, October 31, 2007the indelible ink is still stuck on my fingernails. it looks hideous. the woman who put the indelible ink on my nails didn't even bother to give me the rug to wipe the excessive ink off my nails. anyway, i exercised my right to vote against my will. my mom forced me to vote for people they (my parents) voted for. don't get me wrong, i trust my parent's choices. however, i just didn't want to participate in the barangay elections. voting is exercising your freedom of choice. if i don't get to choose on my own, then what's the point of voting at all! plus, i don't see the point of having barangays anymore. i think we are wasting money in barangays. in college, we did a research on municipal development councils and concluded that they are just plain inactive, thus useless. they don't know what they're supposed to do! 
i’m a smorty blogger
Sunday, October 28, 2007i am so excited to announce that my blog was approved by smorty. i am now an official smorty blogger! yipee!:D in my previous post, earning thru blogging, i said that i was interested to be like other bloggers who enjoy blogging and at the same time makes money out of it. i think this is a win-win kind of deal. you do something that you enjoy and you get paid for it. how cool is that! i hope i can say the same thing about my 8-5 job. hehe.
to sign up for smorty, you just have to to fill up a registration form to submit your blog for review. i signed up on a wednesday and the next day lo and behold i received a notification that my blog was approved. it's really that simple. 
i was really running on low energy last thursday and this news sort of cheered me up. anyway, once your blog is approved, you will be given assignments to write about advertisers and you are given 3 days to do so. it is an advertise on blogs kind of thing.
i actually love my smorty admin panel because it is so easy to navigate. in one page, i can view my pending task, new opportunities that i can write about, as well as my earnings. for those who are interested to get paid for blogging, i highly recommend smorty. you've got to try it to believe it.
exams coming up
Thursday, October 25, 2007before i enjoy the long weekend because of the barangay elections and another long weekend because of all souls' day, i have to survive the exams in operations management and financial management.
i tried keep my eyes and my neurons alive, alert, awake, and enthusiastic for two consecutive nights but the weather is not cooperating. it's too cold, i just want to curl up in bed and sleep. the exam in opman is later tonight and i haven't gone through all the readings. it's an open notes exam (nice!) but i still want to at least read the handouts just to boost my exam confidence.
fin. management is a different thing. i'm not very enthusiastic to even look at my notes. if the shortest distance between two points is a straight line, he takes the long and winding road. if you listen intently he has brilliant ideas but i'm not comfortable with his teaching method. he's one of those institutions in UP but unfortunately i leave his classroom always confused rather than enlightened.
